As advertising is changing around us, so are the political campaign tactics. The days of flyers, canvassing, and posters stuck in the ground around your neighborhood are coming to an end.
These campaigns are now hiring digital teams to put a fence around areas of speeches, rally's, town hall meetings, etc. and once you have gone to these, or fit the demographic that these political campaigns are hiring they push ads focused on the campaigns towards you. Effectively changing the way that campaigns are going to be run in the future.
At the same time, these campaign teams are buying television data, such as preferred shows and news networks, from providers and targeting ads that go with or against the views of that particular channel.
These geographic centered campaigns are the future of corporate based advertising. And something that we, as general consumers and agents within this world, need to be aware of.
