EMF PROTECTION

It's gear for taking your devices offline when you don't need them. Put a phone, tablet or laptop in the Faraday compartment and close it fully. While it's sealed, its cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS signals are blocked in both directions. That only applies to the device inside the closed compartment. It doesn't shield you or the room around you, and other devices nearby keep transmitting.

In slings, organizers and backpacks, only the Faraday sleeve or insert isolates your devices. Other pockets don't, even ones labeled RFID-blocking or EMF-reducing.

Each Faraday compartment is lined with Multishield® or Multishield® USA shielding fabric. Fully closed, the lining forms a continuous enclosure that stops radio signals from reaching or leaving the device inside. The closure is what makes it work: if it's left open, or a cable runs through it, signals can get through. Pockets outside the Faraday compartment don't block signals.

Keystone Compliance, an independent lab, tested flat samples of the shielding material, not finished bags: Multishield® under MIL-STD-188-125-2 (10 kHz to 1 GHz) and IEEE 299-2006 (1 to 40 GHz), and Multishield® USA under IEEE 299-2006. These are test methods, not product certifications. A finished bag also depends on how it's built and closed, so the material results aren't an automatic rating for every product. Anyone who wants set periods offline: meetings, overnight, a commute, a trip, or time with people who deserve your full attention. While a device is sealed inside, it can't make or receive calls, messages or notifications, and apps can't sync. Take it out and it reconnects. The bags also work for keeping backup phones and spare devices offline. Sealing a phone cuts its wireless connections. It doesn't switch off the microphone.
