1000 Studies Link Non-Ionizing Electromagnetic Radiation As Dangerous To Mammals
March 17, 20175 min read
There are over 1000 studies linking non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation (EMR) with adverse effects on mammals, but we’re not being warned about it.
If you were to start your own research on the subject, you’ll have some difficulty locating this information, yet can find an unlimited amount of “authorities” regurgitating the same misinformation about how safe non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation (NIER) is for us and our children. What the public has been told by the media is a reflection of a handful of studies mired in conflicts of interest, paid for and disseminated with the intention to keep and increase profits by the telecom industry and microwave oven producers. If people knew the inherent dangers of the different types of NIER, would they still continue to use wireless devices and microwaves or live next to cell towers? Would they at least augment their behaviors to mitigate this risk? Would this harm large industries’ bottom line?
Our collective health is worth questioning this invisible danger that now surrounds us in our daily lives.
What Is Electromagnetic Radiation and Non-Ionizing Electromagnetic Radiation?
Before we dive too deep into this subject, we need to define a few terms. This is not a light subject, nor is it very easy to comprehend.
Electromagnetic radiation are waves of the electromagnetic field, which radiate through space and matter. They include radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet light, x-rays, and gamma radiation.
For the purpose of this article, we will deal with solely non-ionizing radiation, which is made up of radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, cellular, WiFi, radar, laser light, and ultraviolet light. It is considered non-ionizing because it does not carry enough energy to ionize atoms or molecules, which means to completely remove an electron from an atom or molecule.
We Are Bombarded by NIER Almost 24/7 and Often Without Realizing It
When you heat up your food in a microwave or stand too close to it during use, toast your bread with infrared waves, listen to the radio, use your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, stand within 500 yards of a cell phone tower, and/or occupy places that utilize WiFi, your body and organs are being subjected to NIER.
And while limited exposure may not cause any noticeable effects immediately, long term exposure every minute of the day, over decades, have been shown in a plethora of studies to cause damage.
Why Should I Care About EMF Exposure?
We, as human beings, are essentially walking bioelectrical systems. Our brains and hearts produce, and are regulated by, bioelectrical signals.
DNA, for example, cannot form without the presence of the “Earth’s heartbeat”, otherwise known as the Schumann Resonance (7.83 Hz). Life on this planet literally depends upon frequencies.
So when artificial EMFs are introduced, they negatively interact with our biological processes. This may include pain and discomfort, problems getting to and maintaining sleep, impaired mental and cognitive function, disruption in metabolism, or even the development of a dreaded disease like cancer, which has seen an explosion of cases in recent decades.
So Where Can I Find These Studies?
I’m so happy you asked! An organization called Bioinitiative 2012, that bills itself as “a rationale for biologically-based exposure standards for low-intensity electromagnetic radiation”, has compiled these studies in a PDF you can downloadHERE.
It has been put together by 29 experts from 10 countries, 10 of which are MDs, and 21 of them have PhDs. Three of the experts are former presidents of the Bioelectromagnetics Society. One expert is the Chair of the Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation.
When getting ready to dig into it, you may want some coffee and a quiet place to concentrate!
How Can I Protect Myself and My Family from NIER?
Another great question - you’re really thinking this through now, huh?!
While it’s nearly impossible in this day and age to cut out all exposure to NIER, you can certainly limit it by developing a handful of good habits:
1.) Keep your cell phones out of the bedrooms at night. There’s no reason to have your cell next to you when you’re sleeping. Get an analog alarm clock if need be. You’ll get much better sleep like this.
2.) Do not buy a house or rent an apartment close to a cell tower. Easier said than done I’m sure. While I don’t expect anyone to move for the sole purpose of escaping a nearby cell tower, the next time you do decide to move, check and see what proximity your new dwelling is to the nearest cell tower.
3.) Turn off your WiFi. Back in the Dark Ages, we used to plug in our computers using ethernet cables. A lot of homes are still wired for this. Ask at work if your computer can be plugged in as well - it’s faster, anyway!
4.) Get rid of your smart meter. These things are terrible and surprisingly powerful. They emit 100,000 mW/m2 (milliwatts per square meter), while the threshold for concern is only 10! It’s almost like having a cell tower on the side of your house. Bad, bad news.
5.) Resist the urge to buy “smart” appliances. These almost always are relaying information to smart meters via chips. While no one signal is damaging, it’s the accumulation of dozens of sources that can cause problems over time.
6.) Remove all compact fluorescent bulbs from your house and office. Surprisingly enough, they emit radiation.
7.) Use a headset with your smartphone. It’s such a simple fix to keep harmful NIER away from your brain.
8.) Don’t keep your cell phone in your front pocket. Guys, do I need to elaborate on this?
So now that you have read this article and have been armed with a whole new grip of knowledge on the subject (and possibly some anxiety to go along with it), don’t freak out.
Start to read a few of those studies per day, and start to act on it by implementing just one of the tips above. Like a lot our [good and bad] habits develop, it’s usually with baby steps. Today maybe you keep your cell out of the bedroom, and before you know it, you’ll have tackled all of them - and improved the health of you and your children.
It’s great that we have been able to create products that help people with this. It feels good.
