Job Summary: As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a key role in generating new business and supporting our sales team. This position involves proactive lead and customer follow-up, effective data management, and contribution to business development initiatives. You will also be involved in maintaining customer relationships, supporting vendor and partner portal management, and providing essential administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Customer Follow-Up:

  • Proactively identify and source new leads through cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and other sales techniques.
  • Qualify leads based on their potential to convert into customers, assessing their needs and interest level.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and adapt strategies to meet specific customer needs.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with leads and customers to maximize sales opportunities.

Data Management and Software Utilization:

  • Input customer orders and purchase order data into company software
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead activities in the CRM system.
  • Update the business development pages in our project management software.
  • Track and report on lead conversion rates and other relevant metrics.

Business Development Support:

  • Support the sales team in developing new business channels to increase sales and revenue.
  • Complete applications and paperwork for new business opportunities in both the corporate and government sectors.

Sales Call and Meeting Coordination:

  • Attend sales calls to provide support and assistance, enhancing customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Schedule client meetings and follow-ups for the sales team, tailored to individual client needs.

Sales Documentation:

  • Assist with general quoting and invoicing as required, on a case-by-case basis.

Client Relationship Development:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Keep customers updated with catalogs, assets, and product launches.
  • Support SLNT vendors and partner portals
  • Maintain and keep all SLNT partners up to date with assets and marketing materials

Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, ensuring the smooth running of sales activities.
  • Run monthly sales reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and closing Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Curiosity and a strong will to continuously improve, learn and grow.
  • Experience in sales support, customer service, or a similar role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot) and other company software (Notion, Xero, Shopify).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
